Posers

My daughter is 6 years old, but not too young to have gotten her little self into the whole Hannah Montana/ Miley Cyrus franchise. So when i got a google+  https://plus.google.com/u/0/109658399914135693329/posts  Monroe made SURE i tried to find Miley Cyrus to follow for her. I searched and found that there is indeed NO MILEY CYRUS ON GOOGLE+!!! But i did find a poser who, i must admit, i thought was real at first. I searched every post and almost every comment on the girls page (  i wanted to be sure my daughter was safe) and found that with the things this kid was posting ( conflicting posts, her 'real' phone number ect.) she was NOT the real Miley. I had a bit of a spat with her and i'm hoping the child will seek out some help ( obviously her self esteam is low if she is pretending to be some one that she is not) and stop fooling other poor children. I've attached the link in this post  https://plus.google.com/u/0/104956147989277788201/posts  so that you parents out there can be wary if your child is following this girl!
 Best of wishes for all!

Welcome new baby!

Finally! Baby Girl Tysdale is here! I'm pleased to announce the birth of the newest addition to the Tysdale family, baby Everly Skye Tysdale. She was born at 5:55 on April 4th weighing 6 lbs 4 oz and was 20''. Everly is doing well ( I am too ha) and big sis and bro Monroe and Winston are loving having a new baby in the house! We are all adjusting well and are happy to have a new little spring baby. Thought I'd give you all the good news! Liam and I have decided that after Everly, we are going to have a baby-making break, so preggo mama will not be back for a while :)
Much love,
The Tysdale family

Two more days to go!

Just a quick update! Baby Girl Tysdale is due April 4th, so i have two more days to go! Everyone is  super excited ( Especially Monroe) and can't wait to meet the new little bugger!

Let's name the baby THIS!

So, i'm due to have Baby Girl Tysdale on Wednesday ( April 4th) and we haven't picked out her name yet. I was asking my kiddos what names they liked. Winston, who is 3, told me we should call her Trudy ( not a bad name actually....) or Winny ( his nickname). I told him that the names he picked were great names and then turned to ask Monroe what she thought. Monroe was in the bathroom brushing her teeth and called out, "Mama, let's name the baby THIS!" she ran out and showed me a box in her hands. It was my tampon box that had been in the cupboard. "That?" I asked, pointing to the word "Tampon", "Yes, that! Tampon ( she says it Tame-pon) is a good name." I nicely told her no, we could not name Baby Girl Tampon and under my breath cursed her new found ability to read. Then yesterday i got a call from Monroe's teacher. "Monroe informs me that you are naming your new baby Tampon....i have a few concerns over this and i know it's not my business but...." Needless to say, we have had a chat with Monroe and she now knows Baby Girl is NOT being named Tampon!

No one else does it, so why should i?

Monroe is a crazy 6  year old! I have no idea how i'm going to handle this child as a teenager. This morning as i got her ready for her morning kindergarten Monroe informed me she was not going to wear any clothes to school. period. She just wasn't going to do it. When i asked her why she replied, "No one else does it, so why should i." when i told her that, yes, most people wore clothes, she replied, "Well they don't wear much of em!"

"Mommy, I Just Looove Those!"

Today my 6 year old daughter Monroe was having a splendid time making her 3 year old brother's life living hell. They bicker and fight and try to kill each other multiple times a day, so i just ignored them and kept working on my book for my book club (The third Hunger Games book...soo amazing! Anyone read it?). A few minutes later i heard screaming and found Monroe's mouth enclosed around her brothers ear....this made me decide i should probably take action. I took Monroe aside and punished her for her rude and hurtful behavior towards her brother. While i was punishing her, however, Monroe kept trying to hide her head in my chest. After repeatedly trying to get her to stop i finally said, "Monroe, you are digging yourself deeper into trouble, little lady." To which she responded with a wistful look, then a poke to my breasts and sighed, "Mommy, I just loooove those!"

Fashion Princess

Last week my 6 year old daughter Monroe came home from Kindergarten in a very sad mood. She said that a girl in her class had made fun of her favorite hot pink tank top she had worn because it was too pink, or something crazy like that. I gave her a hug close to my chest and kissed her head and told her that sometimes when we are daring with our fashion ( even thou the shirt was not that daring...) other people wont agree with our choices, but that just means that it isn't their taste, but it's ok if it is our taste. Monroe wiped away her tears and smiled at me. "All better?" I asked. Monroe nodded, "Now i know what to say to you when your clothes aren't my taste."
